5 Ways to Change Your Mood Now

We all need help changing our moods once in a while! Now that it is officially July, we can stop letting that June Gloom get to us and savor the weeks of summer that we have left!

Here are some tips I have for boosting your mood easily! 

  1. Put on a killer outfit that's totally 100% YOU! I don't know about you, but I can't think of anything that makes me feel happier and more confident than when I am wearing an outfit that I not only feel beautiful in, but that also reflects my personality and style. The key to this though is to dress for yourself, not for the other girls you may see and especially not for guys because no matter how much you think your outfit will impress other people, if you're at all uncomfortable or feel unsure, then there's no way your mood will change. Trust me, it's only gonna go down. #beentheredonethat
  2. Have a 5 (or 25) minute dance party! Release your inner BeyoncĂ©, Fergie, or Britney and belt it out, girlfriend! As cool as you may try and act, we all have "our jams" that make us sing and dance like lunatics! Put on your jam and have what I like to call a "Dance Party of 1" (I do it way more often than I'd like to admit)! If you're looking for a new song to party to, lately, mine have been Money On My Mind, Fergalicious, Fancy (the music video models my favorite movie -Clueless!) , and Birthday. (I love this playlist and this playlist also!)
  3. Swipe on some mascara! Sometimes a full face of makeup isn't enough, but leaving the house with a fresh face just won't do it either. What's the solution you ask? Mascara, of course! Seriously, putting on a few layers of mascara takes less than 60 seconds and can take you from looking like you just rolled out of bed and put on an outfit to looking bright eyed and bushy tailed! I promise you guys, THIS WORKS!
  4. Text a good friend! Nothing is as nice as having a fun light hearted conversation with a really good friend, even if it is just over text and lasts about 10 min! If you're looking for a reason to smile, text your friend that always knows how to make you laugh because as your friends it's there duty to help pick you back up when you're feeling knocked down! 
  5. Send a funny Snapchat! I am pretty much addicted to using Snapchat! I love watching other people's stories (even though the realllllllly long ones can get pretty annoying) and creating "snapsterpieces" to send off to all my pals! Honestly sometimes I send things that my friends won't even think is funny, but it makes me laugh my head off and if it makes me laugh, that's good enough for me!
